MIKI in Beaverdale

Tonight (7/15) at 5:20 p.m. a single Mississippi Kite was perched prominently on some dead branches at the top of a tall Siberian elm behind the house at 3200 47th St in DSM.  This is about a block north of Urbandale Ave in an area where MIKIs have been reported for several weeks.  It was seen not long before the strong storm arrived in Urbandale and NW Des Moines.
