There are a few field ponds left from the rains we had. Today in one pond I saw a dozen shorebirds and in another larger pond there were about 50 shorebirds. As far as I could tell, weeds and beans in the way, there were greater and lesser yellowlegs, least sandpiper, solitaire, pecs and killdeer.
The regular ponds had nice mud flats but now with the rains they are filled up.
There have been several sightings of partridge this past week. Otherwise, a bit slow.
