From Little League Glory to MLB Heritage Days – The Celebration for Taiwanese Americans
Dear Friends,
This summer brought exciting news for Taiwanese American community. Taiwan captured the 2025 Little League Baseball World Series championship, marking its first victory since 1996. The young athletes not only showcased their incredible talent and teamwork but also reignited pride and joy for Taiwanese around the world. Their win was a reminder of Taiwan’s long-standing baseball tradition and its ability to inspire the next generation.

In addition to this historic achievement, Major League Baseball (MLB) teams across the U.S. have hosted Taiwan Heritage Day events throughout 2025. These celebrations have provided opportunities for Taiwanese Americans to come together, share culture, and proudly highlight their identity. They have also introduced more Americans to the contributions and stories of the Taiwanese American community.

At TA Archives, we continue to advance our mission of preserving and sharing Taiwanese American history. This year, we have launched an Oral History Project, interviewing leaders from Taiwanese American organizations and Taiwan Centers. Through these conversations, we aim to document the experiences, challenges, and accomplishments of our community. We believe that oral history not only enriches our archives but also serves as an important bridge for future generations to understand the journey of Taiwanese Americans.
