South Korea hosted the first-ever Korea-Africa Summit earlier this month, reinforcing South Koreaā€™s interest in forging stronger relationships with African nations. While Korea is somewhat of a latecomer in engaging with African countries, there is hope for strategic collaboration with the continent in order to bolster South Koreaā€™s position as a global pivotal state.
