I just noticed I can imv the long file name to 'foo'. But trying to irm foo still brings the hierarchy error.

Is this something about need to remove AVUs before irm?

Furthermore, I can iput an object into that collection and then irm it just fine. Just not the hold object with the timestamp and real data.

What does "ils -L" say about the object?

I will also note that your filepaths are not consistent (extra :, some duplicate parts of the filename)...

And, the error code suggests something is not happy with the status of the data object to begin with.

$ ierror 406000
irods error: -406000 LOCKED_DATA_OBJECT_ACCESS

Thanks for the quick response.

There was no metadata on the objects. I haven't looked in the logs.

What's odd is I was preparing a command in my test setup -- all docker in a VM. When I tried the irm in the production system, it worked. I've got a script deleting a lot of lines now -- fingers crossed.

I'll have to dig into why the test setup wouldn't do the command.

Best,
Blake
