I have started getting some information and photos up on the web on this experiment. See

http://www.itee.uq.edu.au/~cse/iLabProjects/radioactivity.htm

Alternatively, go to the UQ iCampus website at http://icampus.uq.edu.au/

and then

Projects->iLab->ilab Project – V/G Physics Experiment – Radiation

and visit the project website.

Right now, I am getting the electronics sorted out.

Regards,

Len.

Len: this looks great. Are there plans to add the corresponding experiment learning activities, or problem sets, or what ever terminology you prefer to describe what students are going to be asked to do using this apparatus?  One of the things we've learned is the importance of building the complementary repository of learning activities in parallel with the documentation of the experimental equipment.  That said, this is great work.

I have added a “Learning” section to the webpage at http://www.itee.uq.edu.au/~cse/iLabProjects/radioactivity.htm

in response to Phil Long’s comment. I have also added a “LabClient” section to show the client interface that the student will be exposed to. I will put up the source code for the LabClient when I have finished tidying it up. That will be the next day or two.

The equipment electronics is being looked at now, so the LabExperiment source code will not be available for a little while yet.

Regards,

Len.
