Why idempiere 12 is slow

I notice that idempiere directly with port 8080 is fast and with ssl https 8443 is very slow, can any one tell me this is why beacause the system is very slow, i did a lot of search  about https and nginx and nothing is working

Hi Aziz

To get help, you need to be more detailed about your problem. Simply stating that the system is slower on one port than another doesn't help others understand the issue. Personally, I haven't had any speed problems in over 20 installations with iDempiere 12. If possible, please upload the iDempiere and NGINX configuration files or the server logs so we can assist you.

Thank you for your reply, i think my problem is related to browser because when i tested the behavior with Firefox the system is good but with google Chrome is slow, and to be more specific the problem occur over network, i hope that will make sens for you, and thank you again for your help.

Try this steps, maybe some of them are the problem:

1. Clear Browser Data

Sometimes old cached scripts from previous iDempiere sessions cause conflicts.

• Open Chrome and press Ctrl + Shift + Delete.

• Set Time range to "All time".

• Check "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files".

• Click Clear data and restart Chrome.

2. Disable Hardware Acceleration

iDempiere's UI uses complex layouts that can sometimes lag due to GPU rendering bugs in Chrome.

• Click the three dots (⋮) → Settings.

• Search for "System" on the left menu.

• Turn OFF the switch: "Use graphics acceleration when available".

• Click Relaunch.

3. Disable "QUIC Protocol"

Chrome tries to use a experimental protocol called QUIC. If your WSL or network environment doesn't support it perfectly, iDempiere will feel "stuck."

• In the address bar, type: chrome://flags

• Search for "Experimental QUIC protocol".

• Change it from "Default" to "Disabled".

• Relaunch Chrome.

4. Check for Extension Conflicts

• Open iDempiere in an Incognito Window (Ctrl + Shift + N).

• If it runs fast there, one of your extensions (like an AdBlocker or a VPN) is slowing down the ERP. You should disable them one by one to find the culprit.

If you are accessing iDempiere via localhost or a .local domain, Chrome sometimes struggles with DNS resolution compared to Firefox. Try accessing the system using the IP address directly (e.g., http://127.0.0.1:8080/webui) to see if the delay disappears.
