iDempiere 5.1 - Test Email Error

Hi community,

I face following error when sending a TestEmail from Client Window in iDempiere 5.1. I am using Gmail account with SMTP port 587.

sun.security.ssl.SupportedEllipticCurvesExtension.createExtension(Ljava/security/AlgorithmConstraints;)Lsun/security/ssl/SupportedEllipticCurvesExtension;

What is missing? Please guide me. Thanks

I think that error is about the incompatibility of java version vs alpn-boot.jar

It solved my problem, thank you very much again.

For those who face the same issue please follow below steps:

• Go to your idempiere server folder
  
• Find alpn-boot.jar
  
• Open META-INF folder
  
• Open MANIFEST.MF
  

and find the version of alpn-boot, find compatible java version from http://www.eclipse.org/jetty/documentation/current/alpn-chapter.html#alpn-versions install this compatible Java SDK. Your problem will solve.

no. don't downgrade your JDK.

download a compatible alpn-boot.jar file and replace it.

You mean replace alpn-boot.jar in idempiere-server?

In fact, I had tried it before downgrade my JDK but I didn't work for me. Can you plz explain how to replace the compatible alpn-boot file?

Check your java version then download alpn-boot.jar here https://mvnrepository.com/artifact/org.mortbay.jetty.alpn/alpn-boot based on compatible list you mentioned before.

Then just replace existing alpn-boot.jar with the one you just download.

yes.

get your java version. download alpn-boot for this version rename alpn-boot.jar and replace old file.
