Thanks Tony
I hope to try and postpone any action, but a primary need , I believe, is to pay the insurance bill for the sno park. I think it’s about $3000 for the year with no option to partial pay

To All: As you may be aware, the levy the Kittitas Parks and Recreation District (KPRD) had on the August 5th ballot did not pass. This was very unfortunate and the KPRD will be considering dissolution at their next meeting on August 27th, beginning at 6:30 P.M. at the Roslyn City Hall.
How does this affect the Evergreen Sno-Park? The KPRD holds the deed to the land and has been working with Kittitas County so the Sno-Park can be opened this season; however, should the KPRD commissioners chose to dissolve the Recreation District, it would open the possibility that the land may be sold to pay off debt that KPRD owes the County. There are other possibilities, such as transfer of the land to another entity, keeping the District intact long enough to work out some kind of solution, etc. The sno-park has been a long term effort for many who have worked to make it a reality and it will be significant benefit for snowmobilers and the area.
I urge that you attend the meeting on the 27th to see what is decided. In all likelihood there will be further discussion after we know what the commissioners decide to do.
Thanks, Wayne
