Dear I3,
My name is Josh Bloom and I am a Producer at UK based TV Production
Company Raw TV (www.raw.co.uk). We are producing a new engineering /
survival series and are looking for additional contributors. I came
across your organisation and wanted to reach out to your members to
see if any of them might be suitable for the show.
The casting info is as follows:
Raw TV - makers of Gold Rush (Discovery) and Locked Up Abroad
(National Geographic) are looking for enthusiastic and quick thinking
mechanics for a brand new competitive engineering/ survival television
series. In each episode two teams will be left in an inhospitable
environment with raw salvageable materials and tools (e.g. the desert
with a crashed bi-plane and fuel / tools). They will then be required
to engineer a suitable vehicle which will get them out of the
location, using only what has been left for them. This will be a test
of mechanical prowess, willpower, teamwork and a drive to survive any
situation.
We are looking for:
• Engineers / Artists / Makers and Fabricators with a flair for the
unusual, a passion for adventure and a love of automotive design –
Real life MacGyver’s and Gearheads very welcome.
• Out of the box thinkers who are able to approach any engineering
challenge with minimal resources, and create exciting but workable
solutions.
• PLEASE ACT FAST - Our initial casting deadline is Friday 24th May.
• You will need to be available for a phone interview and Skype
conversation before the deadline date.
• Successful applicants will go on to a casting shoot set for the
8th June in Atlanta. If you think you are suitable but cannot make
this date, please get in touch anyway as we may be able to work around
a solution.
• It is preferable if you can commit to your current employment on a
freelance basis to revolve around production schedules.
