What is STOP THE BLEED?
"Stop the Bleed" is a national campaign and training program, started by the White House in 2015 and led by the American College of Surgeons, to educate bystanders on how to provide immediate bleeding control to trauma victims before professional help arrives. The campaign aims to empower the public with the knowledge and skills to recognize life-threatening bleeding and apply techniques like wound packing, direct pressure, and tourniquet use to slow or stop blood loss, thereby improving survival rates in emergencies.
