You have the ability to remove yourself. 

So, "Unsubscribe" doesn't really seem to work. Log into Google groups and leave the group via "leave group " which is a small icon on the right, that is supposed to be a door. 

Otherwise, it's possible I think for an admin volunteer on the backside to do it for you, but being a DIY space, we encourage people to handle this themselves. 😀
