Designation         : Oracle DBA

Location                : Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Experience          : 4-10 Years

 

Position Requirements:
•Five/Six plus years of experience in IT / Telecom / Banking industry

•Strong hands on experience in Oracle RDBMS/RAC/Dataguard

•Good experience in Oracle RDBMS Trouble Shooting and Performance Tuning

•Good understanding of Backup/Restore using RMAN, Veritas, Data Protector

•Good experience in UNIX shell scripting, PL/SQL

•Good understanding of SAN Storage, Clusters relating to Oracle DB

•Ability to work under pressure on odd hours/weekends

 

Preferred:

•OCP Certification

 

Role & Responsibilities:

•Planning/Managing/Trouble Shooting/Tuning Oracle RDBMS

•Identification and resolution of software, or database problems/malfunctions

•Analyzing systems errors or anomalies, as well as specific database performance issues and/or error messages, in order to ensure maximum uptime and service quality

•Working internally within the larger Technical Operations organization to test planned databases upgrades / modifications.

•Formulating and implementing monitoring, policies, procedures and standards relating to database management.

•Provide regular feedback / observations / improvement areas with report to Infra Head and  Management up/restore operation

•Routine system audit and documentation 

•Daily support to application user

•Provide regular feedback / reporting on operations, issues

•Update the asset inventory and track changes with all IMAC

•Data centre management
