LDAP and OpenJDK17

I am not very familiar with Java, but wondered if you all could point me in the right direction.  I've been working with Mike and Jeff on trying to troubleshoot an issue and would like to offer a solution beyond just identifying the problem.

I'm running the environment within a container and when I use amazoncorretto:11 as my base container I have no problems, but if I bump it up to amazoncorretto:17+ I get the following error:

ERROR: WFLYNAM0027: Failed instantiate InitialContextFactory com.sun.jndi.ldap.LdapCtxFactory from classloaded ModuleClassLoader for Module "deployment.i2b2.war" from Service Module Loader

I was looking through some of the documentation around OpenJDK releases and I found this mention of "Strong encapsulation of JDK internal elements" in differences between OpenJDK 11 and 17 doc I found: https://docs.redhat.com/en/documentation/red_hat_build_of_openjdk/17/html/migrating_to_red_hat_build_of_openjdk_17_from_earlier_versions/differences_11_17#con_strong-encapsulation-of-jdk-internal-elements_openjdk

Is this something straightforward to fix?  I'm not entirely sure the status of OpenJDK - one place I found said that 11 EoL was October 2024, but didn't seem definitive. If this fix is straightforward to resolve and doesn't uncover any additional issues I'd like to get to 17+ so I can keep it stable for a while.

For the current version of i2b2, either open JDK 11 or JDK 11 work fine.   For the next version 1.8.2, you will need either open JDK 17 or JDK 17.
