Requires ADMIN role, please contact your system administrator i2b2 admin

to i2b2 Install Help
Hi,

I am trying to install i2b2 on Windows 7
The issue I am facing, I can't login to i2b2 admin and getting error message "Requires ADMIN role, please contact your system administrator".

Accessing web client is also throwing same error. 

What I have checked :
- My jboss is running and no errors in log file.
- I can see listServices and my PM cell is active.
- I don't think checking Firewall would matter as I am working on localhost off and Selinux is disabled.
- php installed
- I can access :
                        localhost:9090/i2b2 and see the axis2 Happiness page

No error in Happiness page:

- My i2b2_config_data.js is as bellow:

I have exectly same issue as yours. I am strictly following i2b2 document.Every thing working fine but i am stucked at point 6.5. while varifying i2b2 admin  i get msg "Requires ADMIN role, please contact your system administrator"
can u please tell me how did you resolve it ?.

Are you able to login to the regular webclient as a user?

 

Also the user in the pm_project_user_roles table does the user you want to login as admin have a project_id set to ‘@’ and a user_role_cd of ADMIN

In my case,this problem was mainly associated with the Axis2 installation.. Make sure you have followed the steps for deploying i2b2.war.dodeploy as mentioned in the Section 2.4.4 Apache Axis 2 of the i2b2 Installation Guide.In my case, I ended up replacing the with axis2-1.6.2 installation as suggested in the installation guide with axis2-1.7.3. Let me know how it goes.

Dear mmendis, I am using i2b2 as username and demouser as password to login. In pm_project_user_roles table user i2b2 have project_id set to ‘@’ and a user_role_cd to ADMIN.

also as i am following i2b2 document, i have not installed webclient yet. so i cannot check it.
please suggest if anything else need to be checked,.

Hi Ak,

Now i am experiencing another issue in web client. I am able to login to web client but i am getting an error msg "An error has occurred  in the cell's AJAX library, press F12 for more information". Can you help me on this.

Narayana,

 

If you are still getting an error saying requires ADMIN role when signing into i2b2 Admin Module but not the Web Client you may want to double check the i2b2 Admin user was setup correctly during the installation process. This was done during Chapter 3.8.3 Create PM Tables (https://community.i2b2.org/wiki/display/getstarted/3.8.3+Create+PM+Tables).  Either the scripts ran correctly and the i2b2 Admin user was setup with the correct access, which means the problem is elsewhere or the scripts didn’t run correctly or the user was edited and doesn’t have the correct access. Either way the first thing you want to do is verify the i2b2 Admin user has the right access.

 

In order for the i2b2 Admin user to be able to log into the i2b2 Admin module they need to be setup in the PM_PROJECT_USER_ROLES table with the following:

 

PROJECT_ID = @

USER_ROLE_CD = ADMIN

STATUS_CD = A

 

 

STEPS TO CHECK TABLE AND ADD ACCESS:

 

  1. Query the PM_PROJECT_USER_ROLES table to see if the i2b2 Admin user is setup correctly.

 

Example query:

 

SELECT USER_ID, PROJECT_ID, USER_ROLE_CD, STATUS_CD
FROM PM_PROJECT_USER_ROLES
WHERE USER_ID LIKE 'i2b2' AND PROJECT_ID LIKE '@'

 

 

  1. If records are returned, verify there is only one record and the following information matches the values in each column:

 

 

 

  1. If no records are returned, you need to add the data to your table so the i2b2 Admin user will have the correct access to the i2b2 Admin module.

 

Example query:

 

INSERT INTO PM_PROJECT_USER_ROLES (PROJECT_ID, USER_ID, USER_ROLE_CD, STATUS_CD)
VALUES('@', 'i2b2', 'ADMIN', 'A');

 

 

Let me know if this helps or if this doesn’t resolve your problem.  If it doesn’t resolve your problem, please let me know what version of i2b2 you are installing.

Version 2.1 is the version of the Software license. I am looking for the version or software release you downloaded and are installing. For instance did you download a file called:

i2b2core-src-1709c.zip?  This file name tells me the software inside the zip file is 1.7.09c.
