Accessibility assessment for i2b2

Hi All,

We have been actively utilizing the i2b2 platform at our institution and have recently started receiving inquiries regarding the accessibility of the tool. Specifically, we would like to know if anyone has conducted a formal accessibility assessment for i2b2 client, and if so, whether there is a Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) available that we can review.

If such documentation exists, we would greatly appreciate it if you could share it with us or point us to where it might be accessed. This information will be helpful in our internal reviews and compliance reporting.

Hi Krishna,

Did you ever hear back about a VPAT? I have reached out to I2B2 support and haven't heard anything. Our technology accessibility team determined that the platform does not meet the new accessibility standards. Please let me know if you heard anything and/or how you are proceeding at your institution. The only option I see available to me now is pursuing an exemption request.

No, we did not hear anything about VPAT. We have currently requested an exemption.

Thank you for your reply, Krishna. We received an exemption for 1 year. I hope we can hear from the I2B2 foundation by then.
