Hi everyone,

I am installing I2b2 on my own server. I already installed datas and I
am installing PM Cell following the PM Installation Guide.
After loging into Webclient as admin I checked the configuration
(cells, users...). Then, I try to launch the i2b2 workbench on my
client machine. After loging correctly and selecting a project, I have
an error message saying "Trouble with connection to the remote server,
this is often a network error, please try again".
On my server, I can read errors messages such as :

[cador@roogle edu.harvard.i2b2.pm]$ 16:59:19,593 ERROR [AjpMessage]

Everytime I try to launch the i2b2 workbench on my computer, I have
this error.
Has someone already seen this error? Can you tell me what I am doing
wrong?
Thank you.

Sounds like your other services: ONT, CRC, etc are not running...
Do you see them as active in the list services?

Actually, I did not install it yet. But I don't think it is the problem because I installed i2b2 once and I already had this issue whereas I installed the other cells. So, I am trying to install it again but the error is still present. I don't know what to do... Thank you for your quick answer.

I believe the network connection error is happening because you have not deployed your other cells.
The workbench tries to connect to ONT, CRC, etc on startup; if it does not find them it gives the
network connection error.

I don't think so because I had the same error message after all cells during the first i2b2 installation. Furthermore, if I am trying to launch the workbench it is because I am following the installation guide ( 8.1 section : PM Cell Sanity Test via the i2b2Workbench), so I think that won't be a problem because the PM cell is the second step of the i2b2 installation process.

Did you update the workbench properties file for you new URLs?

Yes I did. Here is it:

writeTimelineFile=yes
applicationName=i2b2
messageversion=1.1
demoUser=no
#I2b2.1=HarvardDemo,REST,http://services.i2b2.org/PM/rest/PMService/
I2b2.2=i2b2demo,REST,http://roogle:9090/i2b2/rest/PMService/

Is there something wrong in it?

My mistake, Lori. You were right. I installed other cells and I don't have any connection problem anymore. I am sorry.
However, I stilk have an issue in the workbench. The worplace  cell seems not working. I have en error such as :"could not create the view : an unexpected exception was thrown".
When I clik on "details" I can read:

Try adding these two lines to your i2b2workbench.ini file:
-Duser.language=fr
-Duser.region=FR

Thank you Mike for your answer. However, it still doesn't work after adding those both lines in the i2b2workbenche.ini file.
I still have the same error for the workplace cell.
