Speech Transmission Index (STI)

Hi everybody,

Is I-sympa ok to calculate the Speech Transmission Index (STI)?

I need it about a school acoustic project, since 11/01/2017 it's necessary in accordance with the UNI 11532 "Internal acoustical characteristics of confined spaces - Design methods and evaluation - Part 1: General requirements.

Thank you for your question.

STI calculation is not included within I-Simpa yet. It should be quite easy but we have currently not enough time to do that.  May be that other contributer could do this implementation ?

Thank to the contribution made by wbinek (https://github.com/Ifsttar/I-Simpa/pull/218), the STI calculation will be added in the release 1.3.5. We are currently working on the stable release 1.3.4 for this summer.

Hi guys, some news for STI addition / I-Simpa 1.3.5?

I need too the STI calculation for some "rooms": there's a (clear | detailed | understandable) STI step-by-step guide to perform the basic calculations (by the indirect/impulse method | Schroeder) in I-Simpa (from the spectrum definition, I don't understand more how do it: I've read a lot of in the last days but I'm a bit confused ... I've just learning I-Simpa and there's few doc not in French) and then extract the data from internal spreeadsheet to postprocessing? If someon can help me, I'm available to create an external spreadsheet (xls) for postprocessing and share here the result for use by others until I-Simpa integrates the functionality.
