Automatic selection of complanar surfaces.

Good morning to all,

as 1st  thing, I will thanks todevelopers for the program.

I m trying to follow the steps in tutorial 1 to

Define surfaces

The second step is to affect one material for each main faces. Here, we will consider 3 surface groups: the “Floor”, the “Walls” and the “Ceiling”.

1. Select the mode “Face selection” on the toolbar “Selection”

2. Hold the CTRL key and double-click on the floor in the “3D view”:

I want to select all surfaces that belongs to the same plane surface

 Question:

- on point 1, where is face selection Face selection” on the toolbar “Selection”? 

is it on Project/scene/surfaces? here i can find 2 triangular faces that composes ie the floor; I can select one but then nothing is appening holding CTRL and clicking in 3D view. 

Can someone explain how it works?
