Young Adults,

Blessings! We are excited for the many events in the works, especially for the Lenten season. We are hoping to increase our presence on social media and improve communications in the church bulletin and church website.


Our goal is to provide opportunities for a service, spiritual, and social event every month. Please let us know if you have any suggestions. We are here to serve you. In order to better serve you, please consider letting us know if you would like to remain on our contact list, RSVPing to events, and responding to surveys.

  1. Human Trafficking Panel (in lieu of previously scheduled happy hour)

Date: February 1st, 2018

Time: 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Place: Cathedral Centre 4th floor

Listen to speakers Constance Rossiter, Social Responsibility Director, YMCA International. Sharad Khandelwal, Deputy Criminal Chief, U.S. Attorney’s Office. Sergeant John A. Wall, Human Trafficking Unit, Houston Police Department as they discuss human trafficking. The panel will be moderated by Duwayne Bradley, General Manager (Retired), KPFT FM 90.1.   1. Arrows Match

Date: February 17, 2018

Time: 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Place: St. Pius X High School


Please join us as we watch the Arrows, Houston’s Catholic rugby team compete against the Bay Area Rugby Club. After the match, please join us in fellowship for a free tailgate. Bring a friend, bring a lawn chair, and come excited for free prizes.

  1. Mass & Lunch

Date: February 18, 2018

Where: Thien Anh Sandwiches (2611 San Jacinto St, Houston, TX 77004)


Join us for 11 am mass. We will be seated on the right side of the church, close to the front. Immediately after mass, we will carpool and meet at Thien Anh Sandwiches. If you cannot find us for mass, we will wait in the narthex (front lobby) for a few minutes after mass has ended.


  1. Caritas Day

Date: March 10, 2017

Time: 9 am - Noon

Place: Cathedral Centre


We have reserved 8 slots for young Adults to work together on two projects: Joy in a Jar and Library Pals. For more information regarding Caritas Day and registration, please go to https://sacredhearthouston.org/outreach .


  1. Archdiocese Young Adult Service Event

Date: March 17, 2018


Come be the “hands and feet of Christ” with hundreds of young adults ages 18-39 at the Archdiocesan Young Adult Day of service, prayer and fellowship on Saturday, March 17, 2018. Teams will help serve those in need like Harvey victims, the sick, the poor, the hungry, homeless, prisoners and immigrants. The Day begins with 8:30 a.m. Mass celebrated by Bishop Sheltz, followed by breakfast then head out to serve in teams all over the city. Online registration required www.archgh.org/yacm or call 713-741-8778. Participants can choose from a list of available service projects. $10 includes t-shirt/breakfast.


Before registering, please let us know if you are interested, we would like to put together a team to attend this event.
