Dear ILMPS Supporter,

Would you like to share your story about how Gov Walker's budget is not okay for your child and your public school? The non-profit group Greater Wisconsin ( http://www.greaterwisconsin.org/) is filming in Milwaukee this Saturday to produce a television ad that will describe how this budget is not okay for our children and their education.

They are looking for people to tell their stories and to serve as background. They would like passionate people to voice their concerns about the impact of the budget on kids, schools and communities. They are also looking for children to be in the ad, but probably not for speaking roles. The organizer is Michelle and she can be reached at 608-279-5199 if you have questions. More details below:

  • Who: Parents, children, teachers, school board members, grandparents, and community members needed for shooting a television commercial saying that the 2011-13 Wisconsin budget isn't good for kids.
  • Where: Milwaukee Labor Council, 633 Hawley Road, Milwaukee from 9am-12pm and then in the afternoon we will be at a coffee shop called, "Coffee Makes You Black" located at 2803 Teutnia Avenue in Milwaukee from 2-5pm.
  • When: Saturday, Nov. 12. The filming will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Michelle suggests the best time would probably be between 9 a.m. and noon (however, if you can't make it until the afternoon, please come then).
  • Details: Tell your personal stories ... those are the most powerful. Dress casually. Some of the filming will be outdoors, so warm clothes make sense (high of 53 and partly cloudy predicted for Saturday).
