EnterPrize – Business Plan CompetitionThe Indian Angel Network has
partnered with TIE Chandigarh for EnterPrize, a business plan
competition. EnterPrize is the first, largest and most credible
business plan competition in Chandigarh. TIE Chandigarh and Chandigarh
Govt. along with the support from STPI have organized EnterPrize with
the strategic intent to identify and encourage the creation of export
focused, IT and Technology focused enterprise. As Angel Partners IAN
will be reviewing the business plans and mentoring the shortlisted
participants.

Indian Angel Network is Asia’s largest growing business angel network
with a member base of 100 members. IAN’s partnership gives EnterPrize
a unique advantage as all shortlisted participants will have an
opportunity to present to IAN’s investor members. “Ten years ago there
was very little help except some government funding you could get.
There were no angels for small sums of money you needed, no early
stage funds, nobody to handhold you, no incubators to guide you.
Entrepreneurs and startups had to do it themselves, things are
different today and IAN is happy to be leading the change,” says Dr.
Saurabh Srivastava, Founding member of the Indian Angel Network, who
has been through the grind himself.

IAN spearheads the cause of innovation and growth of the
entrepreneurial ecosystem in the India. “Angel investing is a key for
the startup ecosystem today. IAN is focused on supporting and
mentoring enterprises that create value and scale” said Ms Padmaja
Ruparel, President, IAN.

EnterPrize Business Plan Competition will be held in 4 Stages and the
Top 3 teams will be allocated space at the Entrepreneurship
Development Centre, Chandigarh as per Government norms. All
entrepreneurs, including students of business schools, will be
eligible to participate in the Competition. The winners of the
competition will be identified by 31st August 2009 and will be
recognized during eRevolution 2009, the flagship IT event in the
region. Mr. Puneet Vatsayan, President TiE Chandigarh & Director
Mobera Systems said, “What makes this business plan competition unique
is the partnership with Indian Angel Network, India’s largest angel
financing network and STPI.
