Interesting Thoughts

Phil suggested we each try to have a novel or interesting thought each
week that could shift our perspectives, open up doors into new
approaches, or otherwise inspire us onward in our disentangling of
knots. We could use this as a continuous thread for that purpose.

My thought has been that each of these conflicts, the Mexican Drug War
included, can be understood in terms of a game being played with codes
of value that motivate the players and give them the framework or
means by which they win. The values are unquestioned which makes the
game real. If we can understand the structure of the game then we can
deconstruct it and set up structures that contradict the rules of the
game.
