Hi all,

I know some of you, from another life, but other's I don't. My name
is Russell and I work with Phil. My strength is software, so I've
been thinking (with Phil's prompting) about how a collaboration site
for this group might be structured. We talked about this once, awhile
ago, and ended up ferreting out some key assumptions. This is what I
remember:

Wars have causes.
Causes of wars have solutions.
The purpose of I Am War is to identify causes and solutions, and get
people to work on said solutions.

Phil, is this what you remember? Do others have thoughts on this
issue?

This may seem a bit abstract, but it could provide a model for very
real collaboration.

That is it, the model of I Am War at the highest level.

Going slightly deeper with our assumptions:

The fundamental causes are problems of scarcity.
The solutions involve creating something -- to put a tangible,
sustainable structure / program in place -- to overcome said problem.
Solutions are linked to specific causes, and causes are linked to
specific wars.

My plan for this weekend (Saturday and Sunday) is to put as many of my
thoughts down in some form -- in more of a map form, not-so-much like
a blog post -- and either use the "Files" or "Pages" feature of Google
Groups to share, whichever seems appropriate.

If anyone in Corvallis would like to discuss this weekend, I'd be
happy to.
