Governor Announces Capital Funding for La Casa Norte

As part of the advocacy of the housing workgroup of the CCH Youth Committee and the City Task Force on Homeless Youth, we have working to get state capital funding for permanent housing projects for homeless youth.
About a week ago we learned that the Governor will be putting $2 million in state capital funding into La Casa Norte's initiative to develop supportive housing for youth and families and a comprehensive service center.
We are very excited about this news and hope this will grow into a broader initiative for state capital funding for homeless youth housing developments statewide.
Please join us this Saturday at 9:00 AM at La Casa Norte, 3533 W. North Ave when the Governor will announce the funding.
