Good afternoon!
As you may already know, our drop-in
space has moved and is open for an additional day at our new location!
We are now located at 126 E. Chestnut (Chestnut and Michigan, about a 5
minute walk from the Chicago Red line) and are now open on Tuesdays and
Thursdays from 1-8 pm.
Our drop-in space is designed to be
a safe space for female identified young people who have been impacted
by the commercial sex trade or have engaged in survival sex. All
who join us at the drop in have the opportunity to hang out, get some rest,
have a meal, take a shower and get connected to any resources they may
need. We always provide a meal and bus passes and can regularly
help out with personal hygiene products. We also provide support and referrals
for housing, employment, mental health services and other basic needs.
Through our expansion, we are excited to also now include additional
programming such as STI testing, resume workshops, and therapeutic arts.
This fall, we will also have a "Know Your Rights" presentation
and hope to have trauma-informed yoga (dates tbd).
Attached you will find a flyer - please
feel free to post it in your spaces or pass the information along to anyone
who may be interested.
Please also feel free to call (1.877.606.3158)
or text (1.985.606.3158) our hotline and/or contact me with any questions
or concerns!
Best,
Rachel Ostergaard
