Dear Chicago Task Force on Homeless Youth Members,

Our Youth Division has announced the 2015 One Summer Chicago youth employment program.  This year, One Summer Chicago will offer over 24,000 Chicago youth and young adults meaningful summer employment and learning opportunities.  Young people can apply for jobs and internships with City of Chicago departments and sister agencies including After School Matters, Chicago Housing Authority, Family and Support Services, Chicago Public Library and the Cook County Forest Preserve District. There are thousands of options and opportunities to fit an applicant’s interests.

By visiting the website, young people can learn about the wealth of resources and jobs the City is providing. Please encourage the young people in your programs to apply at www.onesummerchicago.org .   If they have questions about the application process or about available jobs and internships, they can call the One Summer Chicago hotline at 312-743-0208 or email One Summer Chicago at OneSumme...@cityofchicago.org .  Please note that the application period closes on May 15th.

Thanks for your help in getting the word out to our homeless youth about the One Summer Chicago application and website.

Sincerely,

Alisa S. Rodriguez | Deputy Commissioner of Homeless Services
