Hello,

I've only just started using this as a bookmarklet with Safari. I only want to annotate for myself; I don't want to share my highlights and annotations with anyone else or have them visible.

When I annotate and choose Post Only to Me, the annotations still have the Public header and when I click through I see them in the Public feed. What's going on?

Hello,

Annotations belong to a group, and they have a privacy setting. Clicking "Post Only to me" sets the privacy setting, so your annotations are indeed only visible to you. However the annotations are still in the default "Public" group. Another way to create private annotations is to create a new private group from the dropdown menu above the annotation list.

Kind regards,
Robert.
