At the $3 level (“hypocrite lecteur”), you’ll receive our monthly newsletter! The newsletter is a brand-new development, and we’re very excited about it. Its contents will change from month to month, but get hyped for an advice column, writing prompts, annotated reading lists of editors’ favorite articles from the archives, notes on our ongoing research, games, puzzles, micro-writing contests, selfie contests, gossip, secrets, dreams, abridgements, tl;drs, galaxy brain takes, field dispatches, instructional texts, and archival finds. It will be the best subscription you maintain.
At the $6 level (“mon semblable”), you’ll get the newsletter plus a 5% discount on items in our store (coming soon—think T-shirts, totes, books, posters, mugs…) plus a surprise gift in the mail once a year! Plus a teary-eyed hug if this pandemic ever ends!!! We’re in the process of brainstorming merch ideas and gift ideas—anything you’d especially like? We’re all ears.
At the $12 level (“mon frère,”) you’ll get the newsletter, a 10% discount on items in the store, and a surprise gift in the mail—and we’ll love bomb you! (Here we are using “love bomb” to mean an optional Zoom call with members of the editorial team in which we praise you nonstop and make you feel really good inside, as you well deserve!) We’ll also offer you our editing services for a handful of tweets or tweet-length text messages. These could be business-related messages, breakup messages, missives to long-lost friends, incisive barbs, witticisms for horny strangers on Lex—the possibilities abound! You never know when you might need a level-headed editor to keep your communications impeccably smooth.
