I know folks here work with Oxford systems. I have a need to export line spectra to be able to try standards-based quantification. (I collected appropriate standards) and further processing with StrataGEM. I cannot seem to find a way to bulk export either spectra recreated from the linescan or as a .rpl file. Right now I have to select each spectrum in the data view, right click on the spectrum window and 'save as EMSA'. Not too bad of a couple, but today I did 250 and had significant carpal tunnel pain at the end. The end results were encouraging (after automated processing with DTSA-II) but I really want to find a better way. I was hoping someone had figured this out.

I noted that Pierre mentioned in his thesis that they had done some automation with AutoIT. I downloaded it and didn't see examples that would help something like this. Might this be an option. I put in a request to Oxford to add it to the right click context menu, but I'm guessing it is not at the top of their priority list :)

Hi John,

I faced similar problems. AutoIT was effectively the solution I used. Here is a an example to export SumSpectrum for a series of SmartMap. It's very fragile code. It won't probably work, but you can adapt it.

Thanks, Pierre. This looks like a big help. I tried developing something with AutoIT in AZtec yesterday and was surprised by the fragility of mouse positions. You've given me some great ideas. I think I can adapt this to do something like up to 25 spectra at a time (because of the need to scroll the window.) I'll post a followup when I get it figured out.

Best Regards,
John
