We are pleased to announce the release of HyperSpy 0.8.1.

This is a maintenance release that fixes 27 bugs, adds compatibility with IPython 3, introduces important API changes, polishes many existing features and adds some new ones. Upgrading is highly recommended. See the release notes for more details.

Important: the way to start HyperSpy changes with this release. For details refer to the Starting HyperSpy section of the User Guide.
