Hi Mike,

thank you for sending me the link. I tried to install hyperspy on my
personal laptop but unfortunately, it did not work. I got an error message
that the file msvcr90.dll is missing (I am using Windows 7 with phyton). I
tried to get a file from the web but after that I get the error r6034
during the installation process. Maybe you know the problem and have a
short solution. Otherwise, I will try it next week on a computer at the
institute.

Quentin has told me that you go to Gatan. I wish you a good start there.

Best,
Eric

Hi Eric,

I forgot to mention to you that the multivariate software I helped
write went public some time ago.  You can learn more here:

Hi Mike,

I have installed Enthought + Hyperspy in Windows 7 (both 32 and 64) without any problem. That dll belongs to Visual Studio, so most likely the problem that Eric is experiencing is caused by having several Python installations in the same computer. Uninstalling all the Python libraries and installing EPD should solve the problem.

Best,

Francico
