In following the Help documentation for how to generate a ROC plot, I am able to replicate all the steps but I don't seem to have the information on how to compute the AUC value for my curve. Can anyone indicate how this is done from the ROCplot.txt file that is produced by HyperNiche?

Thanks,

Daniel

Daniel, HyperNiche uses the method of SimTest as explained by Zimmerman 2001:

Zimmerman, N. E. 2001. SimTest (user’s manual). http://www.wsl.ch/staff/niklaus.zimmermann/programs/progs/simtest.pdf (accessed in July 2006).

I believe there are Fortran and R versions of that on the web.

Thanks, Bruce!

I will look up these sources for how to compute the AUC value. I just wondered why the ROCplot.txt file generated by HyperNiche reported various results but not the AUC value.

Hi again, Bruce,

I am able to answer my own question: The AUC value, along with the full results of the ROC analysis are reported in the Result file from running
Fit Model > Evaluate Selected Model

I was only looking at the content of the ROCplot.txt file thinking it would all be included there.

Thanks again and sorry about the confusion.

Daniel

Daniel, I believe you will see the AUC if you use Model | Evaluate Selected Model.
