Position:  Splunk Engineer
Location:  Sacramento, CA | Saint Louis, MO
Duration:  Long Term
Mandatory Skills:

·         Candidate must possess solid experience in SPLUNK Engineering and Administration, able to manage distributed Splunk environment.

·         Candidate must have experience in configuring Multi-site indexer cluster, Search Head Cluster and HTTP event collectors.

·         Candidate should be able to install, build and maintain Splunk applications and add-on in a distributed cluster.

·         Candidate should have prior experience in advanced level Splunk dash boarding, index-time and search-time data parsing.

·         Candidate should familiar with regular maintenance of CIM(Common Information Model) compliance and data normalization.

·         Candidate must have complete knowledge and real time implementation experience in Splunk best practices, workflows and processes.

·         Candidate should have experience in Splunk Infrastructure configuration automation.

·         Candidate should familiar with managing data retention policies and perform index administration, maintenance, optimization and configuration backup requirements.

·         Candidate must possess solid knowledge in the concepts related to Splunk Security Information and Event Management, Event management best practices and Splunk Enterprise security.

·         Candidate should be familiar with Customize/fine-tune Enterprise Security SIEM log management solutions and integrating Splunk with a wide variety of legacy data sources.

·         Candidate must understand the existing application design and learn quickly to start the Splunk administration support activities.

·         Candidate must be a self-starter and self-motivated. Must be able to quickly learn and lead in a new environment.

·         Candidate must have clear communication skill and communicate ideas in both technical and business terms.

·         Candidate should familiar with Linux environment, Git and repository management.
