Introduction:
My name is Jacob Purcell.  I grew up in Southern California and went to college at Saint Louis University.  Along with a Bachelor's and Master's degree in aerospace engineer, I also met my future wife, Meagan, in orchestra.  I play cello and she plays viola.  Additionally, she got her degree in Nursing.  We went on to get married in 2018 and still live in Saint Louis, Missouri.  Meagan is currently working as a school nurse at a local high school.  I work as a software engineer for Boeing.  In particular, I work on the full motion simulator for the Boeing P-8 Poseidon.

Rubik's Cube:
I got my first Rubik's cube in middle school.  I would keep at least one twisty puzzle in my backpack whenever I went to class (even through college).  It was such a great fidget toy.  Currently, most of my collection has transitioned to my work desk haha.  Even though I've never felt motivated to join a formal competition, I feel my times are respectable.  My average for the 3x3 is about 22s and my personal best is 15.721s.

Hypercubing:
This was the third time i've download MC4D.  The first time, it quickly overwhelmed me and was forgotten.  Second time, I spent most of my time just trying to get one side on the 2^4.  Additionally, i searched the internet for tutorials.  This session gave me a fundamental understanding of what I was looking at.  Finally, on my third download, the last pieces fell into place.  Massive shout out to the youtube video by Mathologer.  I find it amusing that my first solve was completed, today, on my work computer rather than my personal computer.
