I've been using hyper cities for a year or two now and find it to be a
completely unique academic experience like to no other, however, using
it for a presentation requires A LOT of preparation. Before doing
anything I have to go to options to check "3D Buildings", then have to
go to Google Earth Mode, then have to click through each geotagged
slide so the contact has a chance to preload. Even still, often times
I encounter glitches. Ideally what I would like to do it create
"tours" of different kinds throughout New York City BUT I can only do
it if someone who stumbles upon my hyper cities collection on my
webpage can manage all of the content themselves without needing me to
physically do the presentation for them. What I think I'm asking is
whether there is a way to have something put in some sort of
presentation mode so I wouldn't have include a list of ten things have
to do in order for it to properly work. Best case scenario, I would
have my collection saved with the proper options selected and ready to
go so all my viewer wouldn't have to be familiar with the website in
order to use it. Please let me know what my options are because if
successful I will be promoting hyper cities on the regular.
Thanks!
Max

Hi Max,

Actually, objects more or less save the state of HyperCities at the particular moment when they're saved (for example, if you're in Google Earth, 3D buildings, the camera angle, which objects and maps are on, etc.). Just create an object as you usually would, set everything the way you want it, and press "Save." When you put multiple objects like this into a collection, that collection becomes a tour. You can also email a link to a collection, which should make it easier for the user to find your tour, too.

Best,
Dave
