Asia and Contricia did an excellent job on analyzing the poem. They help me really understand the poem. Everything was precise. By reading the poem and the comments I think the poem was mainly about how the woman is being untruthful to herself. She blames the mirror but the mirror simply say's " I am not cruel, only truthful". In line 7 when the mirror then becomes a lake Asia analysis helped me understand that the woman is not facing reality. She does not want to see the truth so she then chooses to look in the lake which is called the candle and moon "liars" to hide how she truly look. I can relate this poem to many people that I know which is why I enjoyed it. Asia and Contricia did a great job.

Contricia and Asia did a good job at explaining the poem. The links really helped me get a better understanding of what the poem was about. The comments i believed helped me more because they put it in terms where i could get the concept of the poem. The poem is basically saying she could not face reality of her true beauty.
