 Hi Friends,

 

Hydventura is planning a small waterfall rappelling trip, with a trek to Rajmachi over a span of 2 days (August 09th – 10th) near Lonavala, Maharashtra.

 

Rajmachi (Udhewadi) is a small village in the rugged mountains of Sahyadri in India. There are two forts which were built by Emperor Shivaji during 17th century. It is a famous spot for trekking. It is a very famous fort located near two famous hills of Maharashtra, Lonavala and Khanadala.

Kondana caves are famous because of their Buddhist style .These caves offers an ancient life style of Buddhist followers. There are many Sculptures and stupas which are the architecture of the ancient period of Buddhist.

 

The plan goes like this

 

8th August: [Friday]

  1. 20:00hrs: Train to Karjat.

 

9th August: [Saturday]

  1. 11:00 hrs: Reach Karjat. Quick Brunch and leave for Kondividi [Local transport].
  2. 12:30 hrs: Reach Kondividi and start hike towards Kondana caves.
  3. 13:00 hrs: Visit Kondana caves, & start rappelling nearby the caves.
  4. 16:00 hrs: Start up-hill trek towards Rajmachi base village.
  5. 19:00 hrs: Reach Rajmachi base village.
  6. 19:30 hrs: Change the clothes, sip hot tea, prepare for the night stay in one of the huts there.
  7. 21:00 hrs: Have some simple but hot meals, cooked by the villagers.
  8. 21:30 hrs: Play some games, around the camp-fire (subject to availability). Sleep after that.

 

10th August: [Sunday]

  1. 05:00 hrs: Good Morning . Get freshen up & sip the morning tea.
  2. 06:00 hrs: Leave for Rajmachi fort. Explore Manoranjan and Shrivardan.
  3. 09:00 hrs: Come back to base village, & have breakfast.
  4. 10:00 hrs: Start from base village towards Lonavala [~15kms hike on jeep track]. Enjoy the water streams & serene views on the way.
  5. 16:00hrs:  Reach Lonavala and have lunch. Don’t forget to buy famous Lonavala Chikki ;)
  6. 17:30hrs: Depart to station to board the train for Hyderbad.

 

11th August: [Monday]

  1. 07:50hrs: Reach Hyderabad.

 

 

      Note:

  1. Pl. do not expect luxury during the Trip.
  2. No alcohol or loud music. Also we prefer non-smokers.
  3. Strictly no plastics to be thrown.
  4. This Trip is open for Infosys and Non-Infoscions as well.
  5. Last date for nomination is 20th June by 4:00 PM (Strictly).  Amount should be transferred to the account number [will be sent once nominations are frozen]
  6. The possibility of rains is very high (this is a monsoon trek, correct? J) so please be prepared to get soaked! Sleeping bag is a must.
  7. The cost mentioned below included all expenses, except the emergencies. However, for folks coming from other locations (except Hyderabad), transportation cost will be additional, & will be arranged only when asked.

Approximate cost of the Trip : Rs 2,500.00/- (For Hyd Folks) / Rs. 1800/- (For folks, who will join us from Pune onwards)
