Hydventura is planning a scenic trek to Pratapgarh fort, via Kudpan valley over a span of 2 days (July 11th – 12th) near Mahabaleshwar, Maharashtra. Kudpan valley is surrounded by all three 'Wadis' of Kudpan, and is famous for two gigantic waterfalls. Pratapgarh fort is located 15 Kms. from Poladpur, and 22 Kms. from Mahabaleshwar, a well-known hill station. The fort stands 1080 mts. above Mean Sea Level. The plan goes like this:   10th July: [Friday] 14:45 hrs: Train to Pune, Maharashtra.   11th July: [Saturday] 01:10 hrs: Reach Pune. Some freshen up there, if required. 01:30 hrs: Board the local transport booked here, and start for our base location, via Poladpur. 07:00 hrs: Reach the base location, Vadgaon. Freshen up here. 07:30 hrs: Have breakfast, and collect packed lunch. 08:00 hrs: Start trekking in the Kudpan Valley. 13:00 hrs: Have lunch during the trek, sitting by the river-side. 14:00 hrs: Continue with the trek, and appreciate the beauty lying in the valley. 18:00 hrs: Finish trekking, and prepare for the night stay in Kudpan Village. 18:30 hrs: Have some rest, over a (or maybe more) cup of hot tea :) 20:00 hrs: Dinner time. 21:00 hrs: Play some games, around the camp-fire (subject to availability). Sleep after that.         12th July: [Sunday] 06:00 hrs: Good morning. Get freshen up. 07:00 hrs: Have breakfast. 07:30 hrs: Start trek to Pratapgarh fort. 13:00 hrs: Reach Pratapgarh, enjoy the views from the fort, click some pics. 13:30 hrs: Have lunch. 14:00 hrs: Start back to Pune in booked vehicle. 19:00 hrs: Reach Pune. 19:05 hrs: Board the train back to Hyderabad.         13th July: [Monday] 07:50 hrs: Reach Hyderabad. Things to carry: 1. Rucksack/ backpack. 2. Sleeping bag. 3. Shoes with good grip. 4. A few plastic covers to keep items dry. 5. Slippers/ floaters for using in night. 6. Torch. 7. Water Bottle min (2 lt) 8. Toilet kit 9. Camera/Binocular- OPTIONAL 10. First – Aid kit, any specific medicines you need. 11. Traveller’s/Swiss knife ..If you have one. 12. Carry Identification card.   Note: Pl. do not expect any luxury during the Trip. This is an exploratory trek, and we expect things to go wrong. No alcohol or loud music. Also we prefer non-smokers. Strictly no plastics to be thrown. This Trip is open for Infosys and Non-Infoscions as well. Last date for nomination is 5th May, Tuesday by 4:00 PM (Strictly).  Amount should be transferred to the account number [will be sent once nominations are frozen]. The cost mentioned below included all expenses, except the emergencies. However, for folks coming from other locations (except Hyderabad), transportation cost will be additional, & will be arranged only when asked.
