***Note: This trek is specially planned for Hydventura people in Bangalore\Mysore, people from other location can also join, may change timing a bit to accommodate other location people also, if get good number of nomination.

  

Also, if you need a Sleeping Bag for same, it is available on rent (Rs. 50/day). Do mention your requirement, while sending the nomination.

Wants to start the summer with a cool note, what more if the same also happens to be full moon night. Hydventura is planning a 2 day trek to  Kemmanagundi and hebbe falls,  over a span of 2 days (April 4th – 5th, 4th is the full moon) in Chikkmangaluru district of Karnataka. Kemannagundi in the state of Karnataka , India, at a height of 1434m above sea level, is known for its valleys that plunge into deep lush bowls of tropical forest sprinkled by rains and waterfalls. This sprawling hill station was the summer house of King Krishnaraja Wodeyar IV and within Tarikere Taluk of Chikmangaluru District. It is ideal place for trek lovers. Its located at a height of 1434m above sea level.  Hebbe falls is 168 meter in height and have two stage, Dodda Hebbe(Big falls) and Chikka Hebbe(Small falls). The plan goes like this   3rd April: [Friday] 11:30 hrs: Start from BANGALORE for Kemannagudi. 4th April: [Saturday] 08:00 hrs: Reach Kemannagudi, breakfast and freshen up.  09:00 hrs: Start for Hebbe falls. 11:00 hrs: Reach the fall. Start the splash.  12:30 hrs: Enjoy in water, explore nearby area. 13:00 hrs: Start back for base point. 14:00 hrs: Back at base point, have lunch, take some rest. 15:00 hrs: Start for Z point to see sunset. Enjoy sunset in the pristine nature. 18:00 hrs: Start back for the base camp. 19:00 hrs: Reach base camp, have some rest. 19:30 hrs: Free time enjoy with group, play some game J 21:00 hrs: Dinner time. 22:00 hrs: Prepare for night stay, tired can catch on some sleep, other enjoy the beauty of wild in full moon night :)           5th April: [Sunday] 06:00 hrs: Good morning. Get freshen up. 07:00 hrs: Breakfast. Start for Kallathi falls. 08:00 hrs: Explore nearby area. 11:00 hrs: Start back for Bangalore in booked vehicle. 13:00 hrs: Lunch on the way. 18:00 hrs: Reach Bangalore, people from other location catch Bus\Train to respective location.      Things to carry: 1. Rucksack/ backpack. 2. Sleeping bag/ Thick blanket. 3. Shoes with good grip. 4. Swimsuit\Change of cloth\Towel for getting into the water.  5. Slippers / floaters for using in night. 6. Torch\Headlamp(Must) 7. Water Bottle min (2 lt) 8. Toilet kit 9. Camera/Binocular- OPTIONAL 10. First – Aid kit, any specific medicines you need. 11. Traveller’s/Swiss knife ..If you have one. 12. Carry Identification card.   Note: Pl. do not expect any luxury during the Trip. This is an exploratory trek, and we expect things to go wrong. No alcohol or loud music. Also we prefer non-smokers. Strictly no plastics to be thrown. This Trip is open for Infosys and Non-Infoscions as well. Last date for nomination is 6th Friday by 4:00 PM.  Amount should be transferred to the account number [will be sent once nominations are frozen]. The cost mentioned below included all expenses, except the emergencies. However, for folks coming from other locations (except Hyderabad), transportation cost will be additional, & will be arranged only when asked.
