Hi Friends,   Hydventura is planning a thrilling activity (Canyoning) and a scenic jungle trek in the Netravali Wildlife Sanctuary over a span of 2 days (February 7th – 8th) near Palolem, Goa.   Netravali Wildlife Sanctuary is located in South Eastern Goa, India. It constitutes one of the vital corridor of the Western Ghats and covers an area of 211.05 km². Netravali or Neturli is an important tributary of River Zuari, which originates in the sanctuary. Forests mostly consist of Moist Deciduous vegetation interspersed with evergreen and semi-evergreen habitat. It is adjoined by Dandeli-Anshi Tiger Reserve, Karnataka on the eastern side, Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary, Goa on the Southern side and Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary and Mollem National Park on the northern side which in turn forms a contiguous protected area along with Madei Wildlife Sanctuary,Goa and Bhimgad Wildlife Sanctuary, Karnataka.   Canyoning (known as canyoneering in the U.S.) is traveling in canyons using a variety of techniques that may include other outdoor activities such as walking, scrambling, climbing, jumping, abseiling (rappelling), and swimming. Some freshen up there, if required. 07:15 hrs: Board the local transport booked there. 09:00 hrs: Reach the base location, Palolem, in the booked vehicle. Freshen up here. 10:00 hrs: Breakfast time. 10:30 hrs: Start a small walk towards the starting point for Canyoning, in the forest. 14:00 hrs: Lunch during the activity. 18:00 hrs: Finish the activity, and return back to the base location. Have tea here. 20:00 hrs: Dinner time. 20:30 hrs: Play some games, around the camp-fire (subject to availability). Sleep after that.           8th February: [Sunday] 06:00 hrs: Good morning. Get freshen up. 07:00 hrs: Breakfast. 08:00 hrs: Prepare for a stroll in the nearby jungle ;) 13:00 hrs: Have our packed lunch in the mid of the jungle. 16:00 hrs: Finish the trek, and come back to the base location. 16:30 hrs: Pack the baga, and borad the local transportation to come back to Ponda. 18:00 hrs: Reach Ponda, and board the bus back to Hyderabad.   9th February: [Monday] 07:00 hrs: Reach Hyderabad.         Things to carry: 1. Rucksack/ backpack. 2. Sleeping bag. 3. Shoes with good grip. 4. A few plastic covers to keep items dry. 5. Slippers/ floaters for using in night. 6. Torch. 7. Water Bottle min (2 lt) 8. Toilet kit 9. Camera/Binocular- OPTIONAL 10. First – Aid kit, any specific medicines you need. 11. Traveller’s/Swiss knife ..If you have one. 12. Carry Identification card.   Note: Pl. do not expect any luxury during the Trip. No alcohol or loud music. Also we prefer non-smokers. Strictly no plastics to be thrown. This Trip is open for Non-CTS folks as well. Last date for nomination is 5th January by 4:00 PM (Strictly).  Amount should be transferred to the account number [will be sent once nominations are frozen]. The cost mentioned below included all expenses, except the emergencies. However, for folks coming from other locations (except Hyderabad), transportation cost will be additional, & will be arranged only when asked.
