Hi Friends, Hydventura is planning a scenic trek to Raireshwar - Jambhali - Koleshwar Platau - Jor -Mahabaleshwar over a span of 2 days (February 20th – 21st) near Pune, Maharashtra. Raireshwar!!!!...... The place actually is not a Fort, but it’s considered as a place where The Great Maratha King, Shivaji took the oath of Swaraj when he was 14 years old…… Raireshwar is surrounded by Koleshwar (South), Korle village of Bhor Taluka (North), Kenjalgad (East) & Mahbaleshwar (West)……There is a 50ft road to reach Raireshwar Phata.. from there we could see three roads…
Jor is a Village in Wai Taluka in Satara District of Maharashtra State, India. It belongs to Desh or Paschim Maharashtra region . It belongs to Pune Division . It is located 54 KM towards west from District head quarters Satara. 26 KM from Wai. 168 KM from State capital Mumbai Mahabaleshwar is the source of the Krishna River that flows across Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The legendary source of the river is a spout from the mouth of a statue of a cow in the ancient temple of Mahadev in Old Mahabaleshwar. Legend has it that Krishna is Lord Vishnu himself as a result of a curse on the trimurtis by Savitri. Also, its tributaries Venna and Koyna are said to be Lord Shiva and Lord Brahma themselves. 19th February: [Friday] At 14:45 hrs Board Train to Pune, Maharashtra.
20th February: [Saturday] Pick up point at Pune Rly Stn at 1:00 am Reach Base village of Raireshwar at around 4:30 am Keep excess luggage (including sleeping bag) in Bus Trek start at 6:00 am One hour climb to reach Raireshwar Breakfast Raireshwar (Temple) darshan Descending from Raireshwar to Jambhali village Climb to Koleshwar Platau Descending to Jor village Night stay at Jor
21st February: [Sunday] Weak up at 06:00 Fresh up Breakfast at 7:00 Trek start from Jor to Old Mahabaleshwar (Khetra Mahabaleshwar) Lunch Break Shopping (if time will permit) Returning Journey will start Reach Pune at 5:30 to 6:00 pm
22nd February: [Monday] Reach Hyderabad.
Things to carry: 1. Rucksack/ backpack. 2. Sleeping bag. 3. Shoes with good grip. 4. A few plastic covers to keep items dry. 5. Slippers/ floaters for using in night. 6. Torch. 7. Water Bottle min (2 lt) 8. Toilet kit 9. Camera/Binocular- OPTIONAL 10. First – Aid kit, any specific medicines you need. 11. Traveller’s/Swiss knife ..If you have one. 12. Carry Identification card.
Note: 1. Pl. do not expect any luxury during the Trip. 2. No alcohol or loud music. Also we prefer non-smokers. 3. Strictly no plastics to be thrown. 4. This Trip is open for all. 5. Last date for nomination is 28th December by 4:00 PM (Strictly). Amount should be transferred to the account number [will be sent once nominations are frozen]. 6. The cost mentioned below included all expenses, except the emergencies. However, for folks coming from other locations (except Hyderabad), transportation cost will be additional, & will be arranged only when asked. 7.
