Hello,

In our research group we are currently carrying out a systematic review of literature regarding the impact of flow variability on fish and macroinvertebrates of temperate floodplain rivers in Central and Western Europe (more about the project: riffles.sggw.edu.pl).

In our searches we used academic repositories such as Web of Science and Scopus. However, we wish to capture also the so-called grey literature, e.g. unpublished research, governmental reports, diploma theses, etc. Thus, I'd like to share here open call for evidence and ask for any relevant literature to be sent either via email or at the following Google form: https://forms.gle/T7Penb1aHsa2r3Ha6

Topic: impacts of flow variability on fish and macroinvertebrates of temperate floodplain rivers in Central and Western Europe.
Subject population: freshwater fish and macroinvertebrates in Central/Western Europe
Geographical scope: ecoregion of Central and Western Europe, especially “temperate floodplain rivers and wetlands” (https://www.feow.org/ecoregions/details/404)
Intervention/exposure: Natural flow variability (e.g. floods, droughts, seasonal changes), anthropogenic flow alteration (e.g. dams, reservoirs, hydroelectric facilities, locks, levees, water abstraction, water diversion, land-use changes, road culverts); or flow regime alteration induced by climate change.
For more details, please visithttps://doi.org/10.1186/s13750-021-00225-z [Keller, A., Chattopadhyay, S. & Piniewski, M. What evidence exists on the impacts of flow variability on fish and macroinvertebrates of temperate floodplain rivers in Central and Western Europe? A systematic map protocol.
