Dear colleagues,
We will be organizing a symposium titled "AI-Enabled Decision Support for Watershed Management and Conservation" as part of the
2026 State of Lake Michigan Meeting, taking place November 4–6, 2026, in Michigan City, Indiana, USA.
We invite oral and poster presentations that showcase emerging advances in AI-enabled watershed management, environmental forecasting, conservation, and decision-support systems. The symposium will explore how artificial intelligence, machine learning, environmental sensing, and computational modeling can accelerate scenario evaluation, improve water-quality and flood forecasting, and support adaptive watershed management, habitat conservation, nutrient reduction, and ecosystem protection under changing climate and land-use conditions. We welcome contributions spanning research, technology development, and applied management, with particular emphasis on collaborative efforts that bridge scientific innovation with real-world decision-making needs across the Lake Michigan basin and Great Lakes region.
The abstract submission deadline is
**July 13, 2026 (1:00 PM EST)**.
Additional information and abstract submission details can be found through the
State of Lake Michigan Meeting website.
Please feel free to share this announcement with colleagues and networks who may be interested.
We look forward to bringing together a diverse group of speakers and participants to discuss emerging advances and practical applications of AI-enabled watershed management.
Best regards,
