A position is available in the Faculty of Environmental Sciences and Process Engineering of the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg at the Professorship of Hydrology and Water Resources Management (Prof. Christoph Hinz) as soon as possible:

PostDoc position
Duration 5 years; Salary: according to qualification and job requirements E 13 or E 14 TV-L,

Reference: 29/15

Responsibilites: Contribute to research and teaching in hydrological sciences as well as modelling of ecohydrological systems; Supervise and coordinate student assistants, advise graduate students, undergraduates and trainees during thesis research and writing; Further qualification such as habilitation is desirable. 

Requirements: University degree at M Sc level in hydrology, environmental physics, geoecology, geoinformatics,  environmental engineering, environmental sciences, civil engineering or equivalent (Master’s degree equivalent, e.g. German Diploma); Doctoral degree and in-depth knowledge of systems analysis  and numerical modeling; profund hydrometeorologic skills advantageous; experience in interdisciplinary cooperation, communication and teamwork skills, excellent English skills, driving license, strong analytical skills. Research experience related to catchment scale hydrology and ecology as well as planning, acquisition, coordination and realization of research projects are desirable.
