Early Bird Registration Reminder – 1 Week Remaining

Please share with colleagues and networks

HydroEcology Meets One Health
Monday 14 – Friday 18 September 2026 | University of Birmingham, UK

With two weeks remaining to register at the Early Bird rate, we warmly invite colleagues from across the global research and practitioner community to secure their place at the Ecohydrological Conference 2026 (HydroEco2026).

HydroEco2026 will bring together an international audience of researchers, practitioners, policymakers, industry partners, NGOs, and students to explore the critical connections between water systems, ecosystem dynamics, and human and animal health. Hosted at the University of Birmingham, the conference will provide a unique interdisciplinary platform for sharing knowledge, building collaborations, and developing solutions to pressing global water and health challenges.

Early Bird Registration

Take advantage of discounted Early Bird registration, available for a limited time.

Early Bird Deadline: 27th March 2026 (11:59 PM Local UK Time)

Submission guidelines and the submission portal are available on the conference webpage
Register for the conference and submit your abstract here: HydroEco26 Abstract Submission

Programme Highlights

The HydroEco2026 programme will feature:

Keynote lectures from internationally recognised experts at the forefront of ecohydrology, hydrology, environmental and public health, and One Health research.

Interactive panel discussions exploring the links between water systems, ecosystem dynamics, and human and animal health, including policy and regulatory perspectives.

Parallel thematic sessions covering ecohydrological processes, hydrological extremes, water quality, emerging contaminants, climate change impacts, and sustainable water solutions.

Workshops and skills-focused sessions for early career researchers and practitioners, addressing interdisciplinary methods, innovative monitoring technologies, modelling approaches, and stakeholder engagement.

Networking and collaboration forums designed to foster partnerships across academia, industry, public and private sectors, regulators, and NGOs working at the water–health interface.

Conference Themes

The conference will explore a broad spectrum of topics, including:

• Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH)
• Innovative experimental technologies and modelling approaches at the interface between hydrology and human health
• Relationships between climate change, hydrology and health
• Risks from novel entities and contaminants of emerging concern
• Modelling approaches linking hydrological factors to disease outbreak and spread
• Emerging contaminants, their transport, and ecotoxicological and toxicological effects
• Participatory and citizen science approaches
• Water conflicts and justice
• Integrated solutions for sustainable water futures

Join Us in Birmingham
HydroEco 2026 will provide an international, interdisciplinary platform to advance understanding of the interactions between water systems, ecosystems, and human and animal health, and to co-develop actionable solutions to global water and health challenges.

We look forward to welcoming you to the University of Birmingham.
