Hey folks,

AHS is coming up.  I don't know if they offer a discounted rate for the unemployed or underemployed but you could always try to volunteer to help run it to get in for free or just crash it and try to make some contacts with potential future employers.  Their annual symposium was going on in Sep 2000 while I was in town trying to get a job for the first time out of college and I ended up going, handing out my resume and getting a lot of interest.  That was a different time and I was looking for entry-level but it's still a good networking idea.

Dianne

Thursday:  Attend concurrent technical sessions in addition to Plenary speakers Charles Hutchinson and Rodney Glassman, and lunchtime speaker Errol L. The Restoration of Fossil Creek" starting at 8 pm.
Friday:  We will continue with four concurrent sessions until the end of the day on Friday, plus celebrate fellow hydrologists and students at the awards lunch and have final opportunities to visit exhibits and posters.
Saturday :Saturday, off we go into the field.... several different possible field trips are available including one to see the catastrophic headcut, which has developed on Cienega Creek, a scientist-lead trip to the biosphere and a debris flow field trip (see Web site for time/cost information).

Special offer on payment  - If you plan to pay with credit card, you can do that straight from the on-line registration page.  If, however, you need to pay by check, please register today and if we receive your check by August 15th, you will still receive the early registration benefit.   We appreciate your early registration because it helps us plan the event - Thanks!
