We are pleased to invite you to contribute a book chapter to our forthcoming volume titled “Soil Pollution in Rivers’ Deltas: Sources, Fate, and Remediation in Dynamic Coastal Environments”, to be published by Springer Nature as part of the Deltas of the World series.

In the Anthropocene, soil is both a silent victim and a potential archive of our toxic legacy. Despite a decade of global focus on climate and water, soil pollution remains the invisible crisis—threatening food security, water quality, and human health for over 1.5 billion people. This contributed volume bridges a critical gap: no current work systematically connects the molecular mechanisms of pollutant transformation with field-scale, real-world remediation across the full spectrum of contaminants—from legacy heavy metals and PAHs to emerging threats like PFAS, microplastics, and soil-borne pathogens. Organized into four logical sections, the book begins with global soil pollution baselines, then dissects anthropogenic and natural sources. I have worked on soil erosion on dozens of catchments streams and river zones in different parts of india n indian rivers in past 41 years. 

May be it will be a nice way to exchange my wisdom here .though I have to go back  n reconcile all it 1985 to 2025 the four decades of mine .
