Postdoctoral Opportunities in Hydroclimatic Extremes and Environmental Modelling

The Hydroclimate Extremes and Climate Change Laboratory (HydroClimEX Lab) at Western University is recruiting up to two Postdoctoral Fellows in Hydroclimatic Extremes and Environmental Modelling. The positions are supported through multiple funded research projects, including collaborations with Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), NSERC, and other government, industry, and academic partners.
We are looking for outstanding researchers with strong quantitative skills and interests in areas such as:
- Hydroclimatic extremes and climate change
- Compound and cascading hazards
- Climate model analysis and large ensembles
- Multivariate statistics and extreme value analysis
- Hydrologic, land-surface, and hydrodynamic modelling
- Climate risk assessment and adaptation
The successful candidates will have the opportunity to work on interdisciplinary research with leading collaborators, access advanced computing resources and large climate datasets, and contribute to high-impact research addressing some of the most pressing challenges in climate science and water resources.
