Hello all,

You may already be familiar with Journal of Hydrology-X, which used to be the online version for Journal of Hydrology. I wanted to inform that this has now been changed to a Letters type format, providing a discipline specific option to those not happy with publishing in other more generic Letters journals (like Nature and its many offshoots, or GRL).

The aim of these Letters is to focus not on case studies but new methods or analyses that can shape applications into the future. The constraints are a 4000 word and 4 figure limit, with allowance for supplementary information in case needed. Our hope is to ensure a quick turn-around, which requires your support also in the review process.

JoH-X has a team of 4 Editors in addition to me – Elena Volpi (Uni Roma, Italy), Conrad Wasko (Uni Melbourne, Australia), Jiping Jiang (SUSTECH, China) and Hoori Ajami (UC Riverside, USA). Please consider submitting your best research here. I hope those frustrated with publishing in the generic Letters outlets will see this as a better platform to publish in. Thank you.

All the best
